Low Cost 3D
The GeoWall uses off-the-shelf hardware and free software to view real or simulated 3D images of cities, landforms, and scientific models of everything from atoms to the interior of the Earth and volcanos on Mars.
Portable
A GeoWall consists of an ordinary computer, two projectors, a projection screen, and some mounting hardware. Polarizing filters create the 3D picture which can be seen by wearing 3D glasses. The entire system can be put on a cart to wheel from one room to another, or packed for transportation to other cities.
Large Audience OK
Just like a regular projector and screen, the GeoWall can be viewed by a large audience. For example, at ASU, we use it in classrooms with two hundred students.
